Thoughts and musings of an old codger.

Swanage and Corfe Castle   - Friday 30-6-23

We had planned to visit the Castle but seeing how steep the hill was we decided to let the yougsters go alone and arranged to meet them in Swanage later.
I'm not too good in the walking department nowadays and steep hills are particularly challenging. Instead we strolled to the nearby station on the preservered steam railway to take the train to Swanage.

We spent the day in Swanage after meeting up with the family, had fish and chips on the beach and went around the penny arcade. Soon it was time for the last train back.

Alighting at Corfe Castle village on the way back we stopped for a few pints before catching a bus back to the campsite. The closest I got to the castle was the pub beer garden.
