Thoughts and musings of an old codger.

Cornwall and the rain   - Tuesday 6-9-22

Usually we enter Cornwall from Dartmoor, taking the A30, but this time being further south, we crossed over the Tamar at Saltash and followed the A38 for a while before heading toward the coast, and Looe.
We were staying on a campsite for a couple of nights, so the next day we took the bus into Polperro. The sun made a brief appearance in between showers, but overall the weather wasn't too bad. The next day we popped into Trago Mills at Liskead for essential supplies, then went on to stay at Flushing for a few days.

Sunday started off quite fine, so we spent the morning parked up on Maenporth beach. When the rain started, we drove into Falmouth and parked up for the night on Falmouth seafront. We took the bus into Falmouth town the next day, where the weather got steadily worse with more heavy rain than sunny periods.
In the morning we headed further west to St Erth Praze where we were meeting some friends who live nearby at the pub where we were parking for the night. As luck would have it, they were hosting a quiz that night so we formed a team and joined in.
