Abandoned Tin Mine

Wheal Coates Tin Mine in Cornwall. Situated on the South West Coastal path between Porthtowen and St Agnes.
Wheal Coates was opened in 1802, and closed in 1889. Mining extended under the sea, and laterly used steam power to prevent
flooding and bring the ore to the surface. This is the Stamp Engine Pumphouse.
